Speaking for myself, I don't understand international law to know everything about this case to make an informed decision. My gut instinct does tell me that after 2 years there needs to be something done instead of just holding these people indefinitely. The question is what?
They were members of an organization that was responsible for the bombing on 9/11. But, does that give us the right to hold them indefinitely? Would that mean that all members of a family are guilty of the crimes of one member? If some members of a motorcycle gang kill some people, can the whole gang be rounded up and thrown into jail?
It really does seem to be a grey area and one that demands that the people implementing it be beyond reproach.....something that the bush administration fails miserably.
